Seeing how music is on the decline and barely any good music is being put out these days do you think the grammys, mtv music awards, etc... will exist in the next 10 years?
I remember when I was younger I used to get excited whenever the grammys, vmas, or bet awards would come on and seeing all these A-List celebs like Beyonce, Outkast, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Mary J blige, Britney, Prince, Janet Jackson, Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, Jay Z, Kanye, etc... all in the same room together, it used to be so prestigious and if you won a grammy that means you made it but now the grammys invite tiktok and youtube stars and I just don't think the celebrities of today are big stars like they used to be or put out any great music like back in the day. I know it was a different time back then but I love music and today music just ain't it.
Am I the only ones that think there's no point in having music award shows? I think covid and social media just made me realize celebrities are nothing special since I see them in random instagram comments interracting with us regular folks, I even saw a few legendary singers/actors giving their takes on random tiktok & instagram videos that they should not be commenting on since it's not the type of videos that we need celebrity inputs on and it made me put off 2 of them since I used to like their movies/music but now I saw them saying something that I disagreed with heavily I can't listen to their music nor watch their movies anymore.
