What do you think of Balders Gate 3?

I honestly dont really care for the gameplay but my GOD I have been on a binge of watching BG3 content. I love the writing and point of views of the characters involved.

I like all the characters within this story, its quite balanced. I just wish the gameplay was more dynamic. (More like LOZ and less like Fire emblem )) but I understand there is already a whole ton of work done in this game.

The only story I know of that ended more definitively than Baldur's Gate 2: Throne of Bhaal was Beneath the Planet of the Apes, which not only set off an "Omega bomb" that killed everyone in the area, but had an explicit voiceover saying that everything on Earth was dead. They REALLY didn't want to have to make a third movie.

What's the connection between previous Baldur's Gate games and this one? Is there one, or is this just cashing in on the name?

Bro I dont know what to say. Its doing great on its approach in terms of what it is trying to accomplish.

Cashing in or out of name for namessake seems like a small thing to fret about.

That wasn't meant as a criticism of the game itself; I haven't played it. But it does betray a lack of faith in the project if you think it can't stand on its own.

Well, no- if it could, it would've been given its own title, not one from an unrelated series.

I'd love to play it, and from many clips I've seen Astarion and Karlach are my two most favorite characters.
