On a suggestion from someone on the Crusader Kings forum, I watched the pilot episode of Magnificent Century. I was impressed; high production values and complex characters (at least in potential). Then I found the next episode online... and discovered that only the pilot had been captioned in English.
By this point, the show had either finished its run or was about to, and was wildly popular all over the former Ottoman world, being translated in almost a dozen languages, including CHINESE. Translation's hard even just for captioning; I couldn't do it, but if you can go from Turkish to Chinese, you can go from Turkish to English. If the studio had some grudge against the English language, I could respect that, but then the pilot wouldn't've been.
Years later, farting around on the internet, I discovered the news that the show had been picked up by an American network! And that network was... Telemundo Fox. So from Turkish to Spanish. And I'm just... come ON. Sharing cultural things like TV shows may seem unimportant, and I suppose in the grand scheme it IS unimportant, but it can give us a look into one another's cultures and make us see we're not really all that different after all.
We don't have Fred Rogers anymore, so we need every reminder of that fact that we can get.
The situation in which languages it will be translated into is entirely dependent on demand. Since the Spanish are huge fans of Turkish TV series, most Turkish TV series are translated into Spanish anyway.
However, they still made a mistake because there is no English translation.
Yeah. I mean, with the possible exception of China, we're the biggest market in the world, and even if they ARE a little bigger, we're still huge. And yes, translation is work, but if you've got contacts with a translator who knows Chinese, you can do English; seems like quite the oversight to neglect the market. If no one else is doing it, then you've got it all to yourself...

I'm going to write a few historical TV series now.
Muhteşem yüzyıl
Muhteşem yüzyıl:köşem
Mehmet:bir cihan fatihi
I wrote all their Turkish names, they have different names in English.
I wrote as much as I could find, of course there is more.
What about some websites where I can easily find them or app
I don't know, I've never watched it from a website because I always watch the original, some of it has been translated on YouTube.
Thank you I will find my way around
You're welcome, have a good time
Got a website to watch from Turkish 123. com
Thank you, if anyone else asks, I will tell you about this site.
Heyyy, by the way started watching "you are everywhere " and it is fantastic and just finished one episode but those movies are in vacation list this November can't wait to continue watching them all, thanks a lot girl
Did you really like it? I watched that series at the time, I really liked it, but unfortunately it was short-lived, I'm glad you liked it too.
A little information: The two leads in that series really fell in love with each other on the set while filming the series, and their relationship still continues.
Really, they look good and the lady is really stubborn and spontaneous
Selin is really stubborn and represents the people of the Black Sea region.
Is she from there or it is just from the movie
She only represents the Black Sea people in the series. Aybuke Pusat (Selin) is from Ankara in real life.
Ohhh okie I understand now
No wonder she does ballet
I don't remember which episode she did ballet in.🤔
I meant like she is good in ballet in real life
Oh sorry, I just remembered that Aybuken does ballet. It's admirable that you know so much about the players in such a short time.
Actually I did research and am really interested in fields of performing arts and would love to have a small opportunity in them on day
I hope you achieve your dreams🙏🏻
Thank you
watched a lot in past
do you remember your name
Among them, I only watched Muhtesem Yuzyil.
I knew Çukur, but I didn't watch it because I don't like mafia TV series, so I don't know about Kara Sevda either.
I generally like summer TV series
Unfortunately, such a situation happens in long-running TV series.

Maybe some episodes or parts of episodes, but not a full eason. Swedish Television actually buys a lot of Turkish material, one show pere year it seems.
UK here. I don't have any access to Turkish TV and I don't speak Turkish so
İnternet?
WHY ON EARTH WOULD I WANT TO DO THAT
no I haven't.
I'm more into racing.
No I don’t
