The movies are different, and Michael Jackson makes the role in The was, whereas Rsy Bolger, though very good, is still just a minor character in the original WOO.

You make total sense. The actual movies are so different that it's tough to directly compare the characters. Ray was dope as Scarecrow in Wizard but like you said, kind of a background player. Meanwhile Michael JACKSON was straight up the main dude flying solo in The Wiz. So really he had to carry that movie as the starring role while Bolger was part of an ensemble if that makes any difference. They both killed it based on the context of their versions.

I think I enjoyed Michael Jackson's performance a bit more, or at least the scenario "The Wiz" put him in.. So I gotta give it to him in this round.. LOL..

Lol you must’ve thought so cause I guess he had an adorable clumsy thing going on but it was in a sexy way to you. Gotta give it to him for acting the awkward brainlessness to a T. But MJ singing "You Can't Win"? Chills every time, man was just on another level musically. Hard to beat the King of Pop when it comes to belting a tune.
