If that glass panel is looking outside then I would not block it place things around, maybe a chair facing the panel so that I can get some natural light, I will probably put things here that are either books or supplies I use regularly.

That looks like a great place to put a toilet & when you have it installed up there don’t add stairs or anything just add a toilet & I guarantee that will have people wondering.

I've been in a couple houses that have designs like that. I hate it. It's just a bunch of unusable space that's difficult to access too so it always ends up looking really dirty. It gets on my nerves enough that personally I would either hire someone to drywall over it so it's out of sight or even sell the house because of it.

I find it really interesting in terms of the negative space. My number one temptation would be to put a chair in the middle, like so:
