Why does media keep telling woman they have no heros?

Something I never understood from feminism in today’s society is the notion that girls don’t have any quote in quote strong female characters on tv. And the ones we do have are written poorly or just there for eye candy at most. I always found this stupid I feel like growing up especially for kids tv we had plenty of strong women characters there were a lot of shows featuring girls even many that I know a lot of boys watched. Winx club was a show me and my brothers watched religiously growing up a show about teenage fairy girls fighting other girls I dunno why we lived it so much but we did. Another show was the show Totally spies on Cartoon Network three main female leads kinking ass as spies all while looking good fully clothed. Another big one the power puff girls who doesn’t know the power puffs three bad ass little girls with super powers who can destroy city blocks and can fly across the planet so fast that it’s nothing. Or the life and times of juniper lee another great Cartoon Network show that’s criminally underrated. Do I even need to get started on Disney channel at one point they were know to be a channel that catered more towards girls and guys still watched it. Lizzie McGuire., the Cheetah girls , Hannah Montana, The Wizards of Waverly place with Selena Gomez, Kim possible, Lilo and Stitch. Not to mention the Disney princess and there spin offs. Many of those girls leading or main characters of popular shows and they weren’t popular cause of sex appeal doesn’t mean guys didn’t still find them hot. You didn’t know you could make girls attractive without flashing some tits who would’ve thought but yeah that was just my generation I don’t get all the complaining. Is it a bunch of hot air?
