Why do women glorify celebrities like they are gods?

I never understood this but women are very bad when it comes to giving them selves justification for living so they look at others and the famous to live some sick dream. They scream when they see them, they cry, they will do anything. Like why would a woman care for someone who would give two fucks about you? Sounds like a lot of women suffer from berlin syndrome.
