What movie have you seen that you think deserves a sequel that never got one?

When you say "deserves" I'm going to ignore the fact that the original flopped, but the live action Speed Racer movie stands out as one I thoroughly enjoyed and could've used a sequel.

On the other end, I'm still waiting for the third RDJ/Jude Law Sherlock Holmes movie that has been in production hell for over a decade...

The Goonies would be a good one. I would like to see a sequel to Animal House. In fact I was writing the screen play. It was set 10 years in the future and they all come back for a reunion. Otter is just starting his medical practice and Bluto is running for the US Senate. Dean Wormers is still trying to get delta House kicked off campus. The current roster of Delta house is in so much trouble that it looks like Dean Wormers will finally succeed. Then John Belushi had to kill himself with dope so I lost interest.

This question is 16 days old and I totally missed it? Wow. Good one though. Honestly I feel like sequels are overdone, and does seem to be that the movies that get them really don't deserve them. However, I would say Road to Perdition would've been a good one to get a sequel too, because there actually is a book or comic that is part two anyway, where the kid who was Tom Hanks' son grows up to be a gangster too.

I would like to see a complete reimagining of The equalizer. It would not be a sequel to Denzel Washington's three good movies. It would be a sequel to Edward Woodward's multi-year TV series and I think that it should star. Daniel Craig. I would also like to see a retro version of Miami vice that cast characters that matched the originals and the story lines in the 1980s series. And in both the equalizer and Miami vices soundtracks should be the originals by Jan Hammer and Stewart Copeland or good imitations of them.
