Another fantastic bunch of Disney movies
Another fantastic bunch of Disney movies
Cross up between mulan and Pocahontas
one was a brave fighter
and one was a brave peacemaker
one accepted self
and one accepted all
one also accepted all wildlife and her place in the circle of life and such. Not so much her place in other people’s rules and perceptions.
I will ultimately go with mulan cause the guy was cuter, the music was more enjoyable for me, and I was more of a fighter when I was younger so I just really have a soft space for my girl Mulan! 💪 💅 ✨ 💯
the hunchback of notre dame Was kinda sad. I never watched the full movie. Same with the rest now that I think about it. So Tarzan by default since that’s all I’ve seen start to finish.
I didn't particularly care for any of these and it doesn't help that they all did their source material/historical reference very dirty, but I'd give the vote to Pocahontas. Mulan is probably the next best, but I consider it generally overrated. Tarzan is easily the worst of the bunch, while hunchback and Hercules are both mediocre. I'd probably give an edge to Hercules if it didn't have so many modernisms (by 90s standards).
Pocahontas and Tarzan. Tarzan was the first movie I saw in a cinema I think with my school class :). I was laughing so loudly during the scene where the monkeys were on the bicicle and a bunch of luggage was balanced on top and everything was about to fall over. I think I annoyed some people but I didn't care cause I was a kid :).
Oh, the Disney Renaissance era! 🎬✨ What a magical time for animation! Out of the second batch of renaissance films, I'd have to say "The Lion King" holds a special place in my heart. It's not just the mesmerizing animation and captivating story that struck me, but also the powerful music that everyone still hums along to, even today.
I remember watching it in the theater with my parents, and the opening scene with "Circle of Life" gave me goosebumps. The dynamics between Simba, Mufasa, and Scar, along with the comedic relief brought by Timon and Pumbaa, make it a timeless masterpiece. Plus, drawing Simba and other characters from the movie helped me hone my art skills as a kid. 🌅🦁
It’s a movie that combines drama, humor, and incredible life lessons, making it an unforgettable part of my childhood. What about you? Do you have a favorite from this era?

This one's tough. 😩 I love most of these movies, but I have to go with Mulan.
Tarzan or Hercules it's hard to pick just one. That's the gospel truth.
I know the real history and details of Mulan so it's a fun comparative flick for me
