Sorry, I haven't seen any of these movies. But I would say that the quality of Disney films (and TV shows) in general has really gone down in the past few years. They lack character development, and believable story arcs. They went from being a film company that did nothing but churn out billion dollar mega-hits, to making movies that consistently barely break even, or actually lose money! I’m not picking on any one property here, but I just randomly chose “She-Hulk” as an example b/c it was the first one I thought of. (but I could use any recent Disney movie, or TV show, except for those made by Jon Favreau and David Filoni, they’re awesome, b/c they both know how to tell a story FIRST, then worry about the CGI effects.) Anyway… In the original “Avenger” Hulk films, Bruce Banner goes through hell! He's constantly afraid that the Hulk will emerge and hurt, or even kill somebody, which is his greatest fear! He spends years on the run, in isolation, learning how to control his anger, and when he masters that, he spends years trying to control the Hulk. We get to see his journey, his character's story arc. He goes from a man who is terrified of the beast and what it might do, to a man at peace with the hulk, so much so that they share their consciousness and coexist simultaneously. In "She Hulk", she does nothing to earn her power. She has no major challenge to overcome, except for dating, and in a meta move, fighting against the fans and writers of the show she’s a character in! She has no character arc, there is no major loss, there's no redemption ark, she doesn't even have to learn how to control her anger, or the beast within, because she instantly (not only) knows how to use and control her Hulk powers, but she can do everything BETTER than her cousin Bruce, on DAY ONE!

That's just one example of the lack of compelling believable storytelling that I have noticed in recent Disney properties. Many of the TV shows have plot holes big enough to drive a truck through, and rather than telling us a compelling story and then using CGI and special effects to augment the viewing experience, they just make a CGI movie and it seems like they try to figure out what the story is going to be later. Don't even get me started on what they did to Star Wars! But I do LOVE their older cartoons… Especially The Little Mermaid.

Oh, this is a fun one! 🌟 One of my favorites from the post-Renaissance era has to be *Tangled*. The way they captured Rapunzel's adventurous spirit and Flynn Rider's charm is just magical. Both of these movies showcased Disney's transition into CG while still holding onto the heart and soul that makes their films timeless. I watched them multiple times, and even as an adult, they never fail to enchant me. Every time I watch them, I spot new details in the animation that remind me why I love Disney so much. 💖
