Probably none. A girl once told me: "Why do we want more horror when the world is already giving us enough to look at"
That being said, there are two instances I appreciated, some SF/horror or Fantasy/horror mix of some kind, because it embedded SF or Fantasy. Looking at Dan Simmons for his Hyperion, and Anne Rice for her Vampire Chronicles
The horror genre gives us a place to feel that harrowing feeling in a way that doesn’t feel quite so real. It’s also an excellent commentary on what people fear most today. For example, all the monster movies of the 50’s were allegories for radiation fears. The famous slashers of the 80’s were the result of serial killer fear. The famous zombie movies of the 2010’s were a metaphor for immigration and sickness. It’s all fascinating to look at in my opinion
I'm always in when there is any social commentary about it, but as a Science-Fiction fan, I'm literally drowning in opportunities for such commentaries, so I'm already over-exposed. And frankly, I prefer exposition through SF because horror gives me bad vibes more than good thoughts lol
I've heard before parallel drawn between the zombie concept and immigration, and while I get the possible metaphor, it's not clear enough, or productive enough for me, when I look at the overall messages conveyed in such movies.
I wouldn’t necessarily see The Blob as a manifestation of atomic bombs either but that’s what it’s there for lol
Supernatural always give you that extra scare that makes many think the edge of their seat.
Lovecraftion won by elimination. I am really not a horror fan but lovecraftian can be great if done right. Its really hard to do right though.
Supernatural can be ok, but I specifically dislike the horror aspect of it. Otherwise it could be called fantasy😅
Everything about religion, like Catholic, exorcism. Does it count go supranatural?
It does, demon movies totally count as supernatural

Do black comedies count, like Shaun of the Dead?
Cheesy splatter from the 70s and 80s.
I voted supernatural, but its actually sci-fi.
Supernatural with a true story twist to it like the Conjuring series.
Love slasher
Would so volunteer to be the long pig in a psychological one though!
Can I just say? Cuz I love every type of horror movie🤣
Usually stuff like Halloween or Scream
Supernatural and true story
Definitely slasher horror
I'm not really a fan of horror.
What the heck is "lovecraftian."
I’d imagine Eldritch Horrors.
Think movies like The Thing, The Mist, and Underwater
Anything with crazy looking monsters.
I’m into the psychological type.
True story always gets me
