I would say yes they are, but a lot of Hollywoods starts are starting to get back in touch with reality if you look at what happened Diddy. leonardo dicaprio went to Diddy parties and many other starts, but we don't know if they did anything illegal. nickelodeon and dan schneider got away with a lot of inappropriate behavior for years, but now he is getting exposed for being a creep as well as many others.
So pretty much their grip on power is starting slip. Not a lot people are watching Hollywood movies because they are mostly trash and you see the same with most music. You can listen to anime opening song and it sounds better than 90% of the American bullshit songs we have. So not a lot of the entertainment industry has become stagnant for decades we have the same stars on top, but once you hit the top the only place to go is down which is rich people's biggest fear of losing their monopoly.
People are tired of the same bullshit. A lot of musicians don't even make albums anymore they just make EP or focus on dropping a hit single that is how much money the music industry is losing. A lot these rappers and actors taking pictures with them driving fancy cars, on a yacht, and showing off fancy jewelry rented them and don't actually have the money for it. The music industry is poor less people are going to the movies, less money is being made and less money means less protections from law enforcement and the police.
Hollywood got away with a lot of corruption in the pass, but they are starting to become in touch with the modern world.
Hollywood has never been about reality. Hollywood makes films for us to be entertained, so that we don't have to deal with the rigors of everyday life.
Hollywood is, by definition, fantasy... that's the way it should be.
It’s too in-touch if you ask me. They’re too focused on making sure they’re trending for the right reasons. Someone said that if twitter disappeared, TV shows would get like 30% better and I believe it. They’re too focused on public opinion to really make a great piece of nuanced media.
Yes and No. People have lowered their standards with all forms of art (music, movies etc) and Hollywood is a reflection of that.
Hollywood often faces criticism for being out of touch with the modern world, especially regarding inclusivity and representation. While there have been strides in diversity and exploring different narratives, many believe that more progress is necessary. Some films and series have been quite successful in addressing contemporary issues and embracing a global perspective. However, there's still room for improvement to better reflect the diverse, interconnected world we're living in today. 🎬🌍

of course Hollywood is out of touch. there's homeless people all over the streets of Los Angeles and Hollywood celebrities couldn't give a shit about them
Its not the task of artists, writers, and actors to copy reality.
The ultrawealthy generally lose touch with how others live.
They've been out of touch for years.
Hollywood defines the modern world.
