What are the most powerful non-magical fictional weapons which might nevertheless be realistic some day?

My suggestions, in reverse power order:

1) Lightsaber (Star Wars)

It's a Magnetically confined Laser Beam which ignites a hot plasma and slices though almost any known substance. It's very realistic, and the only reason we don't have them yet is because we don't know how to idealize fusion or anti-matter power supplies.

2) Oxygen Destroyer (Godzilla Franchise)

In the first movie, the Oxygen Destroyer is a controlled Oxygen-Oxygen fusion reaction. In the real world a controlled oxygen fusion reaction might not be possible, but an Oxygen Destroyer Bomb might nevertheless be possible. Such a weapon should never be detonated on Earth, because it burns at over 100 BILLION kelvins and would ignite a thermal runaway of all the Hydrogen and Oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere and Ocean, totally destroying the planet.

3) Galaxy Gun (Star Wars Dark Empire Saga Original SW Sequel Comic)

The Galaxy Gun fires a bullet the size of a Star Ship through Hyperspace at maximum Hyperspace velocity, striking a distant planet or star and totally destroying the target. If we ever learn to make Warp Engines or Hyperspace Engines, we could theoretically ram a planet with a Warp Ship and destroy the enemy planet in such a manner.

4) Anti-Matter Bomb and the Sun Crusher (Star Wars)

This is even more powerful than an Oxygen Destroyer Bomb and can literally destroy entire stars or star clusters.

5) Zero Point Modulus or Zero Point Bomb (Halo, StarGate)

There is as much free energy in an EMPTY drinking glass as the entire combined mass-energy of the physical Universe, so that there is virtually no limit to how much energy could be supplied by a Zero Point Modulus or harnessed into a Zero Point Bomb. Such a weapon could be crafted to potentially "life wipe" the entire Universe, like the Halo artifacts in Halo franchise.

the "Realistic Fiction" weapons are more powerful than the freaking Magical weapons of fiction or fantasy.

Air to ground microwave weaponry, destroy Every living thing by cooking it from the inside, destory electric stuff but leaving most other things intact and usable, like buildings etc.

Depends on how much EM/EMP shielding the enemy has, but year, this is the purpose of EMP weapons, which we are just now starting to master. If you've seen the new Marine Corps recruiting commercial, they show an EMP weapon shooting down simulated enemy drones which are not EMP shielded well enough. Pretty neat.

IIRC, microwave weaponry was how RADAR got invented. They worked out it was impractical to kill people at long range (just the energy to raise the temperature of a person a degree was prohibitive) but the waves did bounce off things...

I was once told that there was amusement at MIGs in the Cold War because they used valves in their electronics and not solid state devices, until someone realised they were immune to EMPs.

Well, that works too. You could use a Gravity Tractor to drag an asteroid into collision with a planet, and destroy all life on the planet. This type of attack was used in Star Wars Legends material during the Vong War, and is how the Wookie, Chewbacca, was killed in Legends. The Vong used a Gravity Tractor to drag a planet's Moon into a collision course with the planet, and Han and his children and Chewie were on the planet at the time, and by the time they realized they barely escaped with their lives with not even a fraction of a second to spare, and Chewbacca didn't make it onto the Falcon to be saved.

Like if we ever invented "Artificial Gravity" by somehow generating Gravitons from an Electric Field, not just "spun gravity simulation", then we could indeed build the "Mass Shadow Generator" from Knights of the Old Republic and destroy entire planets and stars with ease.

It's not exactly clear to me how Phasers differ from Lasers. In "Star Trek Enterprise" Captain archer and crew encounter FUTURE Borg who have been thrown back in time via "first Contacts" story line , and they eventually defeat the FUTURE Borg by using Lasers which are just amplified by having bigger and bigger power supplies... even though FUTURE Enterprise PHASERS failed to even hurt the same Borg drones a few days earlier.

The phaser was described as a phased energy weapon. If scientists can find a way to make an energy beam out of phase it would do some serious damage.

Hmm, The Sun Crusher in Star Wars has Quantum Phased Armor and in the game rules it had 50 Armor Dice as a Star Fighter scale ship, meaning it could survive a Supernova or even survive the Death Star Super-Laser unharmed. I wonder if Star Trek Phasers or Quantum Torpedoes could hurt the Sun Crusher, since nothing in Star Wars can hurt it.

I'm pretty sure "Trans-phasic Torpedoes" could hurt the Sun Crusher, because they simply phase in and out of reality bypassing all shielding and armor.

Like, the maximum damage the Death Star Super Laser can roll in-game is 36, while the MINIMUM the Sun Crusher can roll is 50 armor points, which means the Death Star can never do even ONE POINT of damage to the Sun Crusher.
