What's your opinion about this guitar solo?

It's one of my favorite songs and guitar solos "Dragonforce - Through the fire & flames", i'm a man who came out of the fire and flames with my fist up as victorious 😌

I guess that this guy had nailed it 100% right, even though it's one of the hardest guitar solos...

Opinion:

This is no doubt extremely skillful guitar play.

But where is the 'solo' ?

The song is catchy - but it lives through the lyrics - no so much by the guitar (or guitars, in the original)

Sadly... this song - nice as it is - will not reach a lasting legacy, such as Jimi Page, Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, S. R. Vaughn (and similar) had achieved with their own creations.

Because... it does not have a recognizable 'theme' or a 'solo' that makes it genuine.

There is no single guitar technique which wasn't played in this guitar solo perfectly, the names that you have mentioned are guitar legends but still i hardly heard any of them playing with such skills, if we want to talk about what's good for the ears as solos, i'd go with carlo santana, his guitar literally sings 🙂

I think that skills only does not yet make an ''epic'' song.
And still: WHERE is the ''solo'' in this song? I only see/hear riffs.

The solo of this song starts after the middle when he says "ohhhhh" a couple a of times than the solo starts

Well well... this ''solo'' is just a continuation of what was played before - just without the singer.
I don't call that a solo.

What's your definition to a solo? Sometimes a song might have 2 or 3 solos

Technically, I see no such thing as a ''solo'' in its verbal meaning. Usually, at least the bass and the drums are still... 'active'.
A ''solo'' in my eyes isn't about showing off technical skills, but just using those.
And it is a significant and recognizable part of the song's set up. Something would be missing without it.
Which isn't the case with ''Through the Fire etc''. Compare this now with i. e. ''Little Wing'' (Hendrix) where with the first few notes you just KNOW what song it is.

Oh this french girl, she's a prodigy on guitar but she vanished years ago and no one knows a thing about her, it's like she did her vids than bye bye, it's sad not to see her on social media sites again, she had an incredible future playing the guitar...

By the way Herman Li the lead guitarist of Dragonforce saw her playing this song and he was shocked and he said that she's authentic and played it right!
