The version with Olivia Hussey is the best I've ever seen. In all fairness to Claire Danes, that movie was presented more as a fantasy version and, for me at least, it just did not work. The movie, not the actress; she is without a doubt highly talented.

Olivia Hussey was the better Juliet. That version is the only one I’ve seen. The one with Claire Daines and Leonardo DiCaprio is a version that I heard was terrible. I like Leonardo DiCaprio as Jack Dawson from Titanic and I like Claire Daines as Temple Grandin. I was in my freshman year of high school when I saw Romeo and Juliet with Olivia Hussey as Juliet. It also gives us a view of her titties.
