It's kinda a coincidence that you would ask this question about John Lennon. Because I have been listening to his song "Woman" all week because it's on my YouTube playlist. My late boyfriend had sent it to my phone one day because it was his song to me.
In the video that I have been watching over and over again it's sad because we see them together and so happy walking through the park and Oko has her through his arm - just walking together through the park.
Then it shows the gate and the tragedy. The next scene she is sitting alone on a park bench with the snow on the ground and pulls out a cigarette and sits there all alone smoking her cigarette. Missing John and thinking about him I would imagine.
She lives on their farm near Franklin, New York where she is going to live out the rest of her life.
She's in a wheelchair now and her health isn't so good. It has her address to write β🏼 to her and I am going to send her a nice greeting card with some special words in it. I just got the card out the other day and I am planning on mailing it to her very soon.
RIP John 🧸💐🌺🌹🌸🪻🌷22 Reply

1 yMark David Chapman shot and killed John Lennon on December 8, 1980. Chapman was an American Beatles fan who was angry and envious of Lennon's lifestyle.
Why did Chapman kill Lennon?
Chapman was inspired by Holden Caulfield, a fictional character from The Catcher in the Rye. Caulfield is a "phony-killer" who hates hypocrisy.
Chapman was resentful of Lennon and wanted to emulate Caulfield.
Chapman was enraged by Lennon's comment that the Beatles were "more popular than Jesus" in 1966.
Where did the shooting take place?
Lennon was shot in the archway of the Dakota, his residence in New York City.
Where is Chapman now?
Chapman is incarcerated at Green Haven Correctional Facility.22 Reply- 1 y
Long as Yoko Ono is still alive Mark David Chapman will remain in prison.

John Lennon was shot by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980, in New York City. Chapman was reportedly motivated by a combination of his obsession with Lennon and feelings of betrayal over Lennon's lifestyle, which Chapman perceived as hypocritical compared to his earlier ideals. Chapman was also influenced by the novel "The Catcher in the Rye," which he was holding at the time of the shooting. It is a tragic event in music history that resonated worldwide. 🙏🎶

@FunkyMonkee Well, what do you think happened then?
- 1 y
@Pet68 He was programed to do it.
Mark was a Montauk boy. They are kidnapped, tortured and then programed to kill targets on demand.
John had been in Nixon's crosshairs for quite some time and I'm pretty sure it was him that had John killed.
They'd call Mark on the phone, say the trigger word to open his programing (it's like partitioning a hard drive but with a password that accesses the other partition and one doesn't know the other partition exists), tell him the target and let him go. Once the target is killed, he's been programmed to forget completely about it and switch back to his normal persona. That's why he stood there reading as soon as he shot John and, to this day, still doesn't recall ever having done it. - 1 y

The other reasons here would not fit the motive of a fan!

@FunkyMonkee well thatβs what my teacher told me in high school at the time when it was current news except for a few things that I found out later on that he wanted his music to go up in value after he died so that was another crazy reason Chapman had for doing it unless you have another conspiracy theory about it since I know you were long out of high school when it happened
- 1 y
Yeah, that's what most people were told and still believe.
No theory. Because he was programed to.

@FunkyMonkee sounds like one of those movies and I canβt imagine John being a threat to any political figure, he was also a stalker fan of John for quite some time and had stuff in his room to prove his obsession. If he didnβt have anything showing that and if John had issues with Nixon then it would be more believable that he was sent to kill John but Iβve seen many movies like that and usually the killer gets killed to cover it up

Nixon thought he was. That's why John had so much trouble acquiring the ability to live here in the early `70's.
