No. And not because of the zegler controversy. I like a lot of people are just not going to the movies anymore, there's been a real cultural shift what with streaming services and quite frankly movies these days aren't very good. They are all sequels, remakes, reimagings, reboots, retellings etc or basically the exact same movie you've already seen. I don't think snow white is going to do well at the box office not because of the woke stuff but simply because their target audience which is or should be children aren't intrested as they've probably already seen this movie a hundred times as a cartoon. I saw Cinderella and beauty and the beast in the cinema but like most people I'd already seen it shot for shot as a cartoon and the only thing we were jntrested in seeing were the ballgown and dance scenes.

If you look at the top movies for 2024 they are all mostly sequels, remakes, reimajinings, spin-offs, reboots, retellings or a 70s/80s/90s tv shows turned into a movie and then there's all the comic book stuff.

Disney is one of the biggest gaps in my pop-cultural knowledge. I’m aware of the story of Snow White, but I never watched it. Probably have taken it in in book form as a kid or something, but the Disney Channel cost extra when I was a kid, so we didn’t have it at my home. I missed Fraggle Rock on HBO too, haha.

I was never really into stories that have princesses in them or magic of some sort. But the time I was like 7, I was renting kung fu movies or Rambo: First Blood, Part Two or something, lmfao, I was an intense kid, you couldn’t sell me The Care Bears after kindergarten, lmao. It was He-Man and GI Joe, or I just wasn’t having it, haha. I think The Peanuts were my go-to for more “wholesome” entertainment as a kid…. but I’ve always hated “wholesome”, I’ve had an edge from the beginning😅😂

So, I’ll be skipping Snow White, but I hope everyone else enjoys it👍👍

Nah. I just enjoy watching Disney movies crash on Box Office Mojo. In the past 10 years they have had to have lost a couple billion at least in potential income if the right script and actors were selected. They are hurting their investors.

Vanguard saved their ass from a hostile takeover… this time anyway. And they pissed off Florida and the Federal government and have lost things such as copy write protection on key IP. Maybe it is time for them to be bought out as they do not use their brand and IP wisely.

No, because I have already heard what a complete disaster the movie is. It has been destroyed by "wokeness". The actress who plays Snow White, Rachel Zegler bragged about how "woke" the movie is. The prince will not be able to kiss her to break the spell because he needs consent and apparently it is bad if a woman needs any help from a mere man. The "jealous queen" is far prettier than Snow White. Test audiences have hated the movie. It is predicted that this woke bomb will end up costing Disney over 100 million dollars in loss. They still won't learn a lesson from it. I would not watch this turd movie for free!

Nah. I'd be tempted to hate-watch it when it hits streaming, but 1) my time is entirely too valuable to me (apparently it's 2 1/2 hours long!). And 2), Rachel Zegler's insufferability, dreadful acting abilities, and in general being a self-entitled little snot aside, based on the clips I've seen, the thing just looks awful. From a visual standpoint alone, it looks entirely too dark and gritty. It's inconsistent with the tone of what a Disney movie ought to be, especially one like Snow White.

And then the notion of turning Snow White from a sweet, innocent princess hoping for true love and being an example of kindness into a social justice warrior is just wrong. Even if they got Lucy Hale (often petitioned as a replacement), it still wouldn't work.
