Am I the only one who thinks that all the coolest legendary movies were made in the 2000s?

Pirates of the Caribbean, Narnia, Harry Potter, the first parts of the Fast and Furious franchise and many more. I'm not even 20 y. o. but I prefer movies made before I was born because they're really cool and even the graphics are much better than the ones now. Although in theory it should be the other way around.

I think most people will generally say the best movies are those that they grew up watching, just because that's usually how nostalgia works.

Personally, I think the mid-80's to the late 90's was the best era for movies, because those are the movies that I remember enjoying the most. They were more exciting to me, because I was a child.

Terminator, Rocky, Die Hard, Predator, Aliens, Robocop, Lethal Weapon; all peak action movies from my era.

I hardly watched any movies from the 70s except for a few comedies, but I agree with you. Back then, movies were an art form, not a way to make a lot of money.

Try other older movies like Terminator 1 & 2, Twins, Lethal Weapon 1 - 4, Beverly Hills Cop 1 - 3, Planes Trains & Automobiles, Trading Places, etc. Those are all great movies.
