Do you listen to music to help you sleep?

I sometimes listen to classical music or something like soothing music.

I don't listen to music cause if I turn it on I have to be awake to turn it back off which means I cannot fall asleep listening to it. I eat fruit yogurt to help me sleep and I take vitamin B1 with fatty and high protein meats during the day. I sleep like a baby with this combination. Yogurt, cheese and most meats contains vitamin B6 and your body makes vitamin B7 when you combine the probiotics in yogurt with the vitamin C in fruit which is why I eat fruit yogurt 1-3 times a day.

I listen to sounds of rain to sleep. Have done so for over 20 years since I worked nights and found it useful for day sleeping and the habit stuck.

I have bad tinnitus, so it’s music or white noise. Sometimes I’ll fall asleep to YouTube videos, which is a bad habit. Nothing too upbeat, I’ll try to find “lo-fi” music, covers of video game music or something like that… once in a while, it’s an audio book, but if I fall asleep, it’s hard to find what I last heard when I was fully awake.

I grew up one block outside of Philadelphia in between 2 major highways. When I moved to Houston I could no sleep for months. Couldn't figure it out. It was too quiet. I put on a YouTube video of Car horns, traffic, people cursing in Spanish and gun shots and i slept like a baby. Ahhhh peaceful Philly nights.

i have my tv playing something like a movie... youtube... but youtube doesn't work well because it expects you to be awake. So put on like tubi or something and let it play until i wake up.
