I usually have no difficulty sleeping and I'm not sure why I sleep well now cause I used to have sleeping issues. I think it might be because my body has become naturally alkaline over the years which reversed my insulin resistance cause my insulin resistance was preventing my body from going to bed at night. I know both acidic and alkaline bodies can reverse resistance, but if you are neither acidic nor alkaline, you might have insulin resistance if you routinely have high blood sugar.

Maintain a Consistent Schedule: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on weekends, to regulate your body's internal clock.
Create a Relaxing Bedtime Routine: Engage in calming activities before bed, such as reading, gentle stretching, or deep breathing, to signal your body that it's time to wind down.
Limit Screen Time: Reduce exposure to electronic devices like phones, tablets, and computers at least an hour before bed, as the blue light can interfere with melatonin production.
Optimize Sleep Environment: Ensure your bedroom is cool, dark, and quiet. Use blackout curtains, earplugs, or a white noise machine if needed.
Watch Your Diet: Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, and alcohol close to bedtime, as they can disrupt sleep. Opt for light, sleep-promoting snacks if necessary.

I struggled with good sleep for years. Now, I sleep like a baby. Dark room (or a sleep mask if I have to sleep in the day due to shift work), fans, white noise, soft sheets, and the creme de la creme, a Tempurpedic mattress. Expensive but worth every penny. Lastly, nothing gives me as good a nights sleep as a rainy night - in a tent out camping most of all.

Fresh air, humidifier with homemade scent oil (close my window right before I crawl into bed), my heavy blanket - my pillows + teddy bear (which was cheaper that a body pillow) and a podcast.

    - add in a joint on days I've a evening shift, followed by a morning shift. (Like today)

I like my room very dark, very quiet and cool temps, and I always sleep naked. To be honest, I always sleep really, really well right after I have sex, I just feel totally relaxed.

What helps me the most is sleeping with in ear monitors in. I have extreme hearing sensitivity which doesn't let me ignore sounds. So when I sleep with iems in while playing noise, it helps me to tune everything out.

CPAP machine. I used to get 5 to 6 hours of sleep a night and think that’s normal as you age. Plus I would wake up after 4 hours and have to pee.

With a CPAP, I sleep a full 8+ hours, even 10 hours like when I was a teen, and I don’t wake up to pee… I think I was just waking up and then going to the bathroom as I was awake. I like the machine a lot as it gives me a sound restful sleep.

The Resmed11 is the machine with heated water tank and hose.

    Busting my ass all day.

Running calls the night before, 30 hours into a 48 hour shift with no safety naps, getting laid, no caffeine 5 or 6 hours before bed time.

A cool room. It's hard to sleep when I'm hot. That means I often sleep nude or with fewer covers on.

I make sure the room is dark enough. The temperature of the room is not too cold and not too hot. I also like to wear an eye mask to sleep.
