The Lost Boys song is just incredible.
Honorable mentions-
Blade, Fright Night, and Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Buffy The Vampire Slayer, definitely, closely followed by Fright Night.
Yeah I love Buffy The Vampire Slayer! Cult Classic!
One of my all time favorites ;)
Thanks for the MHO
You're welcome!
Let Me In.
LOL, you mentioned Once Bitten. I forgot all about that movie. Now I have that song: "hands off, he belongs to me, hands off, he's my private property, hands off, I'll tell you just one last time... the boy is mine" stuck in my head. That song was playing while he was at the dance, dancing with his girlfriend and the lady vampire kept cutting in and trying to put him in a trance. Having a tug of war with Jim Carrey.
Yes I love that part and the song. Every now and then the song will play in my head lol
My favorite vampire movie of all time has to be "Let the Right One In." The Swedish film beautifully blends horror with a touching story of friendship and loneliness. The atmosphere, cinematography, and music create an unforgettable experience. Another honorable mention would be "Interview with the Vampire" for its intriguing characters and lush storytelling. 🧛♀️🌌

The first Dracula movie: "Dracula" from 1931 starring Bela Lugosi.

Count Dracula: Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make.
[Dracula goes up the steps and waits for Renfield, who, without difficulty, cuts open a hole in a huge spider's web using his walking stick]Count Dracula: The spider spinning his web for the unwary fly. The blood is the life, Mr. Renfield.
Count Dracula: This is very old wine. I hope you will like it.
Renfield: Aren't you drinking?
Count Dracula: I never drink... wine.
Count Dracula: To die, to be *really* dead, that must be glorious!
Mina Seward: Why, Count Dracula!
Count Dracula: There are far worse things awaiting man than death.
For one who has not lived even a single lifetime, you're a wise man, Van Helsing. - Count Dracula
That movie will soon enter the public domain on 01 JAN 2027.
If that movie wasn't so important, then this song - arguably the song that launched the goth genre - would never have existed.

“The Lost Boys” is a classic, but a little too “Goonies” for my adult palate. That’s not a bad thing. I luv “Goonies” too, but mostly for nostalgia’s sake at this point.
“Blade”, including the sequels, did vampires better than any other movie (s), in my opinion. I preferred the pseudoscientific approach to the mythology over the mystical. Also, i want action and stakes, not pageantry and romance.
“30 Days of Night” was excellent too.
For raw camp, “Bordello of Blood” is outrageous!
“Abigail” is quite good. A little campy, but not over the top, in my opinion.
“The Last Voyage of the Demeter” is good too! They kind of unfold the story a bit like a mystery. There’s an air of both mysticism and science to it.
I’m really more about the zombie movies and shows, but some good vampire movies have come out that challenged my earlier prejudices.
I can’t believe i forgot “From Dusk ‘til Dawn”! So good!
I forgot about Abigail. That was a good one as well!
Oh my GOSH!!! The Convenant! I looooove that movie. that's the first movie that came to mind when I saw your this question. The crush I had on Steven Strait in that movie, was insane! Then it Sebastian Stan with "Are we ascending?" Goosebumps!
I'm totally watching this movie today.
Underworld is pretty good.
Queen of the Damned with Aaliyah is also good
Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman. Classic.
In the Covenant, they're not vampires, but my favorite folklore monster/paranormal movie was that for a long time
The Covenant is really good. I might rewatch it. Haven't seen that one in a long time.
Me too! it's been a long time. The acting is probably awful but I thought it was amazing because of cute guys and I was 16 when it came out lol.
Lol same here
Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles all the way.
She's the only author I know of who made the vampiric figure believable, humanized, complex and relatable. So, interview with a Vampire yep. As it's the nearest movie inheriting from Anne Rice's vision.
Also my guilty pleasure with vampires also comes from Symphony of the Night, not very intellectual but aesthetics there marked my mind. Also true, more generally, for Castlevania franchise by Konami.

I read the twilight book and loved it. The movie wasn't perfect but I enjoyed it. I also liked Interview with the vampire.
Have you seen Queen of the Damned? I loved that too when I was younger lol.
And blade...
I forgot about Queen of the Damned. That's a good one too!
I didn't like Queen of the damen is that the one with Aaliyah her acting was good the movie just sucked to me
I liked it. I thought the movie was good. Maybe not as good as the first one but it was still good.
Okay cool just dont think it was enough action
Dracula (1931) is my all time fav. I loved Bela in that.
Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror (1929) is the creepiest vampire ever. Totally unique.
I also liked Bill Nighy as Victor in the Underworld films.
I chose these two:
1. Bram Stoker's Dracula
2. Interview With The Vampire
Yeah they are definitely up there for me.
I haven't seen many vampire movies, but 30 Days of Night has a slight edge over The Lost Boys for me.
Trying to remember now if there was ever a vampire film I actually liked.
Maybe Underworld... though I never watched the sequels.
The Blade trilogy was alright, I guess.
Queen of the Damned, too bad they don't make a movie about Vampire: The Masquerade.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/AUZkNDUEZNQThere's a few. Lost Boys, Silver Bullet bothe had Corey Haim and Interview with the Vampire and Dark Shadows.
I forgot about Dark Shadows. Great movie!
Let the Right One In. It has a lot of complexity in terms of interpersonal relationships instead of just being a slasher movie.
"Let the Right One In" -- the original Swedish film, not the remake.
I liked them both!
Interview with a Vampire. Brad looks fresh and tasty in this movie and the story is really good.
I'd agree Lost Boys although vampire movies of old are pretty up there..
I agree with you, but also Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Amazing old school movie.
Sir Christopher Lee as Dracula is iconic. That movie is such a classic.
Christopher Lee's Dracula is by far the best, in my opinion.
Interview... because it was the very first one I ever watched...
I always liked “What We Do In The Shadows” very fun
The ones with Bella Lugosi in it as a kid it really scared me. To this day, I sleep with the sheets around My neck when using a sheet
There's some good choices there but i really liked 30 days of night... even though it wasn't really a vampire movie
Lost Boy is my favorite followed closely by From Dusk till Dawn
Surprised to find Dracula here.. underrated gem!
If we're discussing vampires here, Bela Lugosi comes to mind, but hey, I'm from the Stone Age.
" Dracula" with Jack Palance it was made around 1971.
I think 1973/1974, but, yeah, that was good. It was on CBS I believe when I saw it back then. That was when I discovered Jack Palance.
en.wikipedia.org/.../Bram_Stoker%27s_Dracula_(1974_film)
@abc3643Yes I did see it on CBS. Christopher Lee also played a good Dracula, along with Peter Cushing as Van Helsing. The British Hammer film Dracula movies were all good. Peter Cushing was in " The Brides of Dracula" where he played Van Helsing but Christopher Lee did not play Dracula. Another actor played Dracula. In " Kiss of the Vampire" both Christopher Lee or Peter Cushing did not star in it. The British actor Clifford Evans played the Van Helsing type character. It was a Hammer Film made in 1963. The Hammer Film Dracula movies were much better than the American Dracula movies. I believe the Jack Palance Dracula was also British made, I know it had British actors in it like Nigel Davenport and Simon Ward.
That one movie where the vampire and the werewolf fight over some unattractive lesbian... I forget the name of it.😆
Ha ha ha
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
House of Dracula.
Dracula: Dead and Loving It
Buffy The Vampire with Kristy Swanson.
I like an 80s movie called the hunger.
Love at first bite it was a comedy👍
Nosferatu the 1920s version
An interview with a vampire
Salems Lot
Cos it’s my fav
