Here is another poem I just wrote after listening to Sleep Token. I know it's kind of elementary but what do you think?

Title-All I know

All I know is this
Pain
Loss
Heartache
All I want is this
Love
Happiness
Laughter
All we have is this
Wounds
Scars
Brokenness
All we want is this
Healing
Peace
Time
All you want is
Her
All I want is
You
All we are is this.

This poem reflects deep wounds that seek to be healed but that are too deep to heal by themselves.


They need patience, love and understanding that is not on the near horizon but hope is seeing beyond that horizon for what it cannot find in the vicinity.


Never give up hope because hope is the fuel that mends wounds that traditional medicine is incapable to provide.

Many great writers write from a place of pain and suffering. Sylvia Plath is one that comes to mind. Granted she killed herself and I wouldn't go that far but she's a great example of writing from a place of pain and suffering.

There are also plenty of great writers who are cheerful people. Junji Ito is a master of horror both in story and in illustration and he’s just a happy weirdo when you meet him. You don’t have to suffer to be good at what you already enjoy doing anyway.

That's very true. I just tend to always lean towards dark places because my very first memory was pretty dark and from there I've always been in a dark place. Every now and then I'll have happy days but for the most part my life is very depressing so that's what I like writing about. I'm trying to change and become more positive but it's not an easy task when I seem to keep getting hit with negative things. I will say that when my income changes in October, I'm going to go back to therapy and I hope that helps my outlook on life.

I hope so too, for your sake. It’s all well and good to use writing as an outlet but if you constantly associate it with negative feelings it’s not going to be good for you forever.
