@RingOfFire Had that same thought many times after watching the movie many times, The door would not have sank' with both on it, and Jack would not have been immersed in the cold water completely and his body temp would not have plummeted and cause him to lose consciousness.

My experience with Scuba in deep, cold water in the Pacific in winter time, allows me to make that statement with authority. Also being in a swimming pool, outdoors, on a training exercise, without a wet suit, in 75 degree water over time, almost put me into hypothermia.

If Jack could have gotten on the door with Rose, he still would have hypothermia, because of the 'exposure' but MAY not have lost consciousness and died.

I had to leave the water at Catalina, because I feared losing consciousness due to the cold water at 75' and I was wearing a wet suit, - 7mm.

@RingOfFire I have to correct myself about Catalina. The water Temp there was 55 degrees, not 75 degrees. The POOL was 75 degrees, W/O a wet suit and I had to leave the pool and lay on the deck in the sun, as I was shaking all over for a long time. I am 'thin' by today's standards and weigh 145 lbs at 5'8"
