So I’m just chilling watching the old flintstones cartoon of the 60’s and here Fred and Barney out with the boys at the bowling alley drinking and smoking cigars, while the women are at home talking about dresses and the weekend they’re about to have. And I ask myself “what the hell does this have to do with kids entertainment?” I enjoy the Flintstones but was it for the kids or adults I don’t know.

Darn good question. I believe it was made for families. Both kids and adults. It was created in the days when kids didn’t sit in front of the tv for hours like the kids of today. They only watched tv with mom and dad.

Haha. It's bit like Simpsons. The colourful cartoon style and whacky animations and noises amused the children whilst the hidden context aimed towards adults went over their heads so amused the adults too.
