Do you prefer reading books that have pictures in it, or books with no pictures in it?

Definitely pictures. I have an antique chemistry book that actually has a diagram superimposed over the text. I have never in my life seen that done in a book. Another cool thing is if it's a really old book and someone scribbled a note in it 80 years ago. Possibly no one has opened that book to that page since the note was written.

Generally, prose novels, but I like comic books and Manga too.
