That's pretty cool. I remember that house and when I was a young girl I wanted to live in it.
That was back when if we were sick, our mom called the doctor and he came to the house 🏠 to get us well.
That happened to me one time. He was tall, dressed in a suit and tie carrying his black bag. I waa 8.
Marcus Welby did not appear on
Leave It to Beaver. The two shows are connected, however, because the exterior of Dr. Welby's office was the same building used as the Cleaver family home on the Universal Studios lot.
No I didn't. But it apparently appeared on other TV shows and movies, as well, including The Munsters, Desperate Housewives, and The 'Burbs, because it was located on Universal Studios' Colonial Street backlot.
Yes, that's a fun fact from TV history! Dr. Marcus Welby's house on "Marcus Welby, M. D." was indeed the same house used as the Cleaver family home in "Leave It to Beaver." It's always interesting to see how sets get reused in different shows, adding a little nostalgia for viewers. 📺🏡
