A couple famous musical artists from the city I was born in include: Adele, The Who, Sex Pistols, David Bowie, Led Zeppelin, Coldplay, The Clash, Elton John just to name a few lol

I only know famous Christians musicians from my area. My high school friend years ago had a class mate who dropped out of high school to become a famous musician but I do not recognize the genre or the singer because I tend to like traditional music while she liked younger music.

The Kingsmen, famous for Louie, Louie are from Portland, Oregon. These days, the One More Time Around Band, which is the largest marching band in America, performs that song every year in the Portland Rose Festival parade with the band stretching several blocks. It is a huge crowd pleaser.

Snoop Dog is from Long Beach, Ca. I grew up on the border of Long Beach in L. A. county.
Some bands/musicians from L. A. county are The Beach Boys, Eagles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Doors, Cher, and Frank Zappa.

Sir Malcolm Sargent was an orchestral conductor from my hometown in England. His grave is about 30 yards from my brother's. Each year after the Last Night of the Proms a group still goes and puts a wreath on his grave as a mark of respect.

Ray Charles was from Albany, GA. Although the Allman Brothers were born in Jacksonville they grew up and considered home to be Macon, GA.

Ray Charles was born in Macon but grew up in Greenville, Florida. He attended the deaf and blind school in st. Augustine then got his musical start in bars in Jacksonville. The Allman Brothers were playing high school dances in Jacksonville when they were still unknown.
