Very few would get signed today as older music was not as cookie-cutter as it is now. None of the Prog or harder bands I can think of would get signed by modern labels. Even popular bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones might not get signed in today's climate.

Even the most mainstream manufactured pop from the 60s blows away anything released in the pop world these days. There is very little actual music in the mainstream nowadays, 99% of it is made on computers. The artist is just the face they use to push the product.
