In the next decade, which artist do you think will cement their status as a legendary live performer?

I’m specifically asking in terms of all around live performance and spectacle: Vocals, Dance, Stage Presence, Energy, etc. Performers who truly create an experience with their shows, who really fire off on all fronts.

While someone like Mariah Carey or Adele may be seen as among the greats in terms of their vocals and overall expiration for what they do, who do you think has the is a “multi threat” talent?

These can be people who are up and coming, or who are already big and mainstream and yet are too new on the scene to really be considered among the greatest of the greats.

I think Bruno Mars was close to becoming Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Shakira, Britney, Whitney, Enrique Iglesias, Justin Timberlake/NSYnC, Backstreet Boys, Janet Jackson, New Edition, and Usher level. He needs to stay off the drugs and return to singing solo because he doesn't stand out in Silk Sonic. Taylor Swift and a lot of todays performers have catchy songs but i wouldn't call them singers nor do they have enough rhythm to be considered dancers. They’re not giving “overall” legend. Dua Lipa, Anitta, and certain Kpop boys may be on their way since they can sing and dance. But the language barrier turns me off to kpop. Jennifer Lopez is technically legendary with her dancing but her singing was always other people helping her out like Ashanti. Even Selena Gomez had Julia Michaels backing her. I wouldn't exactly say Jonas Bros and Ariana can dance but neither could Madonna and she's legendary. Chris Brown was too busy beating on all his exes to maintain legend status plus he's so damn unattractive in terms of looks (in my opinion).

It seemed like it was Bruno Mars but he just kinda took a backseat it seems.. You don't hear much about him lately.. Maybe he will come back into the Spotlight.. Maybe Usher.. He's still around and seems to be getting more famous than he was.. He can sing and dance..

Chris Brown could've been on his way but he'll never be as relevant as he once was.. Plus he doesn't make music that appeals to a wider audience.. There's not many when you think about it.. It seems to be more about looks and a certain persona, but not so much the type of talent..

Ariana Grande can sing her a$$ off, but she's getting into too many scandals lately.. Taylor Swift can sing, but while she's talented she learned how to build a huge fan base.. That's all that is..

You make some really good points man. Bruno Mars did seem to be on top of the world there for a bit but doesn't seem to be as big right now. He definitely has the talent to cement himself as a legend if he wants to. Usher is a good shout too, dudes been around forever and can definitely still perform at a super high level.

It's kinda wild there aren't more obvious choices. You're totally right that it's more about the persona and looks than raw talent these days. Like Chris Brown is super talented but will probably never reach his full potential. And Ariana Grande stays in drama which takes away from her music. Taylor Swift is more of a brand than an actual performer too.

It is kinda disappointing there aren't performers out there focused more on just the straight up performance and talent aspect. Like back in the day you had dudes like Michael Jackson, Prince, Freddie Mercury who were once in a lifetime talented AND iconic personalities. I guess the modern era makes it harder to have that balance of talent, popularity and scandal-free career. But someone could still definitely do it if they played their cards right. We'll have to see what happens I guess!

Yes sir, back then corporations weren't as big or hands on about making more profit.. They just took risk and let the talent do the work for them.. But now there's a lot of nepotism, who knows who, and all that good stuff.. I mean there was that back then as well, but it's even worse today.. But yeah you're right we'll see what happens..
