Which living artists of today do you see having a historical impact on music in the future?

The term 'legends' in music is often overused when discussing artists. But, who do you genuinely believe can become an absolute household legend, known by pretty much everyone in the distant future, 30-40 years from now? I am talking universally known and loved, like Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Queen, Elvis, Whitney Houston (I am aware that members of Beatles and Queen are still alive).

Madonna is definitely the closest one here (I think we will most agree she is in the category with the above-mentioned legends) and as awful as it sounds, after she passes away (of course hoping it would be years from now), her discography and interest in her persona will reach new heights.

Mariah Carey is probably next in line. Her Christmas song will definitely resonate for decades to come, and people well ahead in the future will probably be interested to check what else she has to offer.

What about others? I can see artists like Beyonce, Adele, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars all having legit chances to go in this category, but it will depend on how they will progress with their careers in the future.
