He has a good run. I saw him in an episode of Route 66 that was filmed in Boston. Open Range is my favorite movie so I go with his role as "Boss".

there was an episode that was filmed in Maine. Pat Hingle was a sea captain and William Shatner was in it. There is a scene where he is on a boat and that boat is in the same exact spot that I used to tie my little boat up years ago.

He’s incredible in Apocalypse Now, great pick My personal favorite also Apocalypse Now, that helicopter scene with him as Kilgore is iconic. I also love him in Tender Mercies and The Godfather, such quietly powerful performances
So calm, loyal, and quietly powerful, he grounded all the chaos around the Corleones.

I liked that movie to. I remember watching shortly after my father past away. I guess you could say it was therapy for me. My father loved both westerns and nature. And that movie had some of the scenery (range) shots I've seen since Dances with wolves.
