Sadly i have been known as the kid who bought nirvana's unplugged tape just a couple of days before Kurt Cobain's suicide in 1994, everyone here turned up against me and told me to never listen to his songs anymore because there was people who were committing suicide while listening to his songs, i was just like a 9 year old boy, who barely knew English and just enjoyed listening to the songs vibes...

Anyways, when i grew up, i have focused on this song between all the others, the last song he sang in his final show, also found in his last tape, the tape that i have bought just days before Kurt Cobain's death...

I have realized that there's something hidden in this song, like he's sending us a message that he's over and that he's going to leave this world... etc

the song is by david bowie and really speaks about schizophrenia. effectively speaking and communicating with things not really present but in one's head/. Bowie's brother (was committed) and mother both dealt with schizophrenia and Bowie himself would seem to experience bouts of near schizophrenic breaks throughout his life. Many of Bowie's songs are about or reference the behavioral health disorder and schizophrenia is a common subject especially in his early work.

while the song sounds and is lyrically bleak it isn't really about death but more a window into the psyche (the id). For Cobain i'm sure he indentified with the sense of inner turmoil and the duality he himself was experience as a reluctant pop star. on one hand it seemed being a musician and fame was a goal but once achieved he realized how big a trap it could be.

- is bowie saying that he sort of thought (probably wished) that the other identity personality in his head was gone

True but when Kurt sang this song it had a different meaning to him, it shows how much depressed he was, plus don't forget that at the end of his days he was so much suicidal and everyone close to him knew that it's only a matter of time...

It's odd that he says "We" as if he had a special meaning like he was two different people talking to each other.

I think that there's an underlying connotation there that hints about him dying that way.

I didn't know it was a David Bowie song until I just read that here. But HE chose to sing that particular song. Nobody forced him to sing those words. So apparently there's a message there that he could relate to and thought about.

Some people take themselves out at the height of their career because they've accomplished what they set out to do and it couldn't get any better.🤷🏼‍♀️

I read it, plus since kurt's death, there was a lot of people saying that he didn't committ suicide, some say that his wife had set up for his death or dave grohl had plans to kill him... etc

I don't mind for the case to be re opened again if there are suspicions about his death but the man had so much trouble in during his lifetime plus he failed the rehab and was so much into addiction and mental disorders, also it wasn't the first time he tried to kill himself, he tried it a couple of times before but failed!

Anyways, if there's another truth to his death, we surely want to know it, his daughter has the right to know it plus his sisters and all of his fans around the world...

oh yes, no way to kill himself with a shot gun. His arms were not long enough. Try a empty shot gun and you will see what I mean. He was given too much smack and OD, then he was shot. His letter was written by two people , that was proven by hand writing expert.
