Before covid Karaoke was very popular at places I used to go, but since then it seems to have gone out of favor.

Last week I took a few days vacation, and at the hotel I was staying at they had a music act in the evening, and afterwards there was Karaoke.

It was late at night and people had drunk a few beers.

I sing in front of the TV set, and when doing my chores, but I'm not sure I would have the confidence to sing in front of a room of strangers.

Would you take part, and sing a song?

I barely sing when at home playing Rock Band 4 with the family, so no, I wouldn't do karaoke out in public lmao

I have no actual talent for anything musical, singing included. It doesn't stop me from singing when I am alone and a song I really love comes on though.

What a blast "Oke is. I have only ever been embarrassed once and it was because I was singing a duet with a buddy who was the lead singer of an actual band that is on he radio now and even then I was the only one who cared about how bad I thought I had done.

I'd think it would be less traumatic to sing karaoke in front of strangers than in front of people I know who'd not hesitate to remind me of it for the rest of my life. LOL!

Karaoke with strangers can be super fun, especially when everyone’s a bit tipsy and just there to enjoy the chaos, not judge. I usually pick something energetic and not too vocally demanding, like 80s rock or a cheesy pop song.

Once you’re up there, the fear melts away fast.
