What impresses me is how he killed the name. Virtually no one names their kid Elvis any more.

This may amuse you. The picture is a major tourist attraction in Wales called Elvis Rock. Back in 1962 during an election someone painted a "Elis" on a roadside rock. Then it got changed to "Elvis" for a laugh. Obviously it got cleaned but was quickly replaced so the council gave up. Nowadays people taking the long drive from Birmingham to the seaside see it as a symbol

I have no cares about him in the first place but so? Many don't and I seriously doubt you or anyone knows that the only songs they've ever liked have been only written by them since ya know that would require looking into everyone for that exact purpose.

Songwriting is one talent, interpretation is another. He had insane stage presence, a genre‑blending voice, and helped push Black-influenced music into the mainstream, even if that history is messy.
