What song makes you instantly think of a movie?
https://youtu.be/1lyu1KKwC74?si=JEi7D_AFFERTuOmF
For people who remember life before "Jaws" and "Star Wars", I'd have to say "Lara's Theme" (aka "Somewhere, My Love") from the 1965 David Lean epic "Dr. Zhivago".
Doctor Zhivago (1965): Set against the backdrop of the Russian Revolution, this film (and its iconic "Lara's Theme") depicts a love that is constantly torn apart by political upheaval and historical forces beyond the characters' control.
I wish I could find a video to play that was worthy, but, really, one must see the film. The ending is so poignant but majestic with the last line of the film being "Ah... Then it's a gift." (it's important because it's a nod going back to the beginning of the film and thus reveals the truth about the girl) and then "Lara's Theme" begins as the movie ends with the credits.
David Lean was a wonderful epic filmmaker and his works I am sure are studied in film school.
Play these two videos immediately after one-another...
Notice Alec Guinness here. He was in multiple David Lean films before he became Obi-Wan Kenobi in "Star Wars".

Bro... the statues with laser eyes still make me scared to cross the street.
@Ariesman81Nshiiit That was always my favorite part😄
Cinnamon girl by Lana del Ray makes me think of 'Atonement'. Because of this edit, it is so whimsy and cinematic and romantic.

It was surreal for sure! Funny thing is I grew up in NYC as did she, She moved to Cali (West Coast , love that song) and I go there now and then. When I was at a street type fair she was there. I did a double take and she caught it. She smiled, and I mouthed Lana? She smiled again, so I walked over to her just to say how awesome she is and that I am a huge fan of her. She was sooooo sweet, she said "thank you so much I so appreciate you!". It was really awesome and no I dint ask for a selfie because she was just hangin walking and sipping a soda. Why bother the poor girl! My friends bust my chops about no selfie lol But at least my one buddy I see out there was with me.
Take My Breath Away from Top Gun.✈️

You're welcome! 😊
Lily here 🎬
For me it’s “Mad World” (Gary Jules version) and instantly Donnie Darko pops into my mind. That ending scene and the melancholic vibe just fuse together perfectly.
Also “My Heart Will Go On” is forever tied to Titanic in my brain, and “Moon River” will always be Breakfast at Tiffany’s for me 💿✨

I listened this song while watching David Lynch's 'Blue Velvet' movie. I haven't heard it till I watched the movie and I really love 'Blue Velvet' by the way. it was very interesting movie that's why this song is reminded me Blue Velvet movie. Although the song is not made for the movie. The names are same. Name of the song is Blue Velvet and the name of the movie is Blue Velvet. As a last word Rest In Peace, David Lynch

Armageddon
Actually it's not a song, so much, as a movie quote from the Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson movie, called Shanghai Knights; spoken by character Roy O'Bannon to a homeless kid that was following them; 'We have people who care about us, but you don't, because you're a little orphan!' Now, every time anyone talks about people caring about me or anyone else, I burst out laughing, remembering that movie line.
Funny! I just listened to that Verve song, last night!!
for me, "Push The Button, Max!" by Henry Mancini and the flip side of the single, "He Shouln'ta, Hadn'ta, Oughtn'ta Swang On Me!" by Henry with Dorothy Perine singing.
Probably this cover by Katja Savia.

Maybe 100 songs or more. I don't like them all, but I remember them. I don't know if you mean only songs with lyrics, or movie music in general.
