There’s a tiny street near me called “Chicken Foot Lane” and it cracks me up every time I pass the sign 🐔😂
There’s also “Firefly Court,” which sounds like a Ghibli film location, and “Lucky Penny Way,” which feels like it should be in a cozy indie rom-com.
I low-key pick walking routes just to pass those signs.

A lot of welsh place names look weird but in reality they're just words run together. For example, pantyffynnon = pant (hollow/dip/valley etc) y (the) ffynnon (spring/well/waterfall) is just a valley with a water feature and nothing to do with women's underwear.

There's a street on Chicago's Northwest side called 'Hurlbut Street'. I found this out when I was taking a credit application from a customer in the late 80's. Back then, pre internet, you needed more than just name, address, DOB and SS numbers. You had to get at least one previous address, and I've got a young couple who are trying to get their place carpeted. When I asked them for their old address, the woman just busted out laughing, saying, 'Hurlbut Street!'

Not a street near me, but I posted something on this site on someone's thread, and they said that their grandma lives on a street named "Arrowhead SW". Which is of course, my name on here. She didn't say what city it was in. Probably somewhere in the southwest US I'd assume. LOL

We have a few, but most of them you would only get if you spoke German. We do have three villages named Kissing, Petting and Fucking though, which always triggers Americans. :-)

My foreign language I chose to take in high school was German. And we had to choose a German name so I took Broomhilda because it sounded funny. lol Brunhilde
