So, why did the UK flop in eurovision again?

Oh dear, the UK has come bottom of Eurovision yet again with only one point, well behind Bulgaria's 516 points.

Despite ground breaking lyrics such as

The UK was beaten by a song which was mostly

Bangarang

Not to forget the fun we all had trying to explain Romania's song to granny.

In fact everyone beat the UK by quite a lot, again. So what went wrong this year

The UK song was verbal diarrhoea

We sent a man-child to compete

We deliberately did bad to avoid the expense of hosting next year

The song insulted roly poly pudding

They see us as goose stepping flagshagging little englanders

I didn't even know Eurovision was going on. Probably because who ever the UK sent couldn't keep up with Viktor Krum and the stick dance. 😅 When ever people mention Bulgaria all I can think of is a nation of Viktor Krum clones.

Also why is Isreal in Eurovision? They are in Asia. I'm not even anti Israel or anything, they've also done this with Morocco which is in Africa. They even let Australia in, which is as far as you can get from Europe. It feels like they define "Euro" as just not america

I mean sure you had The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, Monty Python... and then nothing...

... the 90s were kind to you, Trainspotting, Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson, I'll even give you the Spice Girls if only because they had some colour, Jamie Oliver, heck even Stephen Hawking and that Oxford guy who proved Fermat's Last Theorem... and then nothing...

It's very hard to point to anything interesting that has come out of the UK this Century. Amy Winehouse excepted.

So far as I can tell, the UK is trapped in some self-reflective doom loop that is incredibly unattractive to everybody outside of it.

And I'm trying to find this trendy pop song I heard it may be old by a few years with crooning "or coo-ing" drawn out female lead vocals that sounds like an indie pop band singing like "you do" or "me too" and a intriguing chorus each time of drum step drum step drum step to the best of each vocal almost like a good break up love song with edgy edge

It's not Nessa Barrett sadly :( yet it's her kind of voice if she sang faster and I loved her "until you're dead" 💀 song from a few years back at Halloween 🎃👻

Since I was a teen myself I already looked down on this pathetic 'event'.
Music must not be a competition. It should be 'made' because someone just feels right to make it.
AND!: most of the 'best bands' always had roots in the U. K. ! ... nothing to 'worry' about 🙂
