What's your favorite Bubblegum pop song?
Mine is Candy by Mandy Moore

Sometimes it's not about who sings it what generation it came from the words
Everything on this planet vibrates everything on this planet moves and with rhythm and beat and tone and tune in music it's the same thing it vibrates and it does something with our bodies our spiritual our minds everything about us we become a part of it so just because you like are you listen to that music doesn't mean you're doing it for the words it means that you're becoming one with it with your vibration to their vibration and if it makes you feel good that's what you want
I've always said there's groups that have songs and you listen to the words
There are groups and bands their music has their own words to it it tells you a story in its own way because of the vibration the sound the tune the tone of it
It's the same thing as making love you become one with that every little movement every little tone every sound every instrument you become one with that and your body vibrates to that and when you can do that no matter who's singing it LOL and it makes you feel something then listen to it for sure
AI says this is the biggest one:
@spartan55 Me as well. Good kids if I remember right.
@spartan55 I'm glad to have forgotten about them. I think they only had that one hit.
It was always bad, but it got even worse from the early 80s onwards. That is when the fakery started and pop idols became products rather than actual artists. Autotuning and artists miming to backing tracks became the norm and were blindly accepted by the dumbed-down masses.
They were good at making them catchy and upbeat. I play a BSB song every once in a while and have a good laugh. I think "The one" just because some guy sent it to me once lol
That era is such a guilty pleasure, it’s like pure sonic sugar 😂 It’s “bad” because the lyrics are cheesy, super manufactured, and formulaic, but “good” because the hooks are insanely catchy, nostalgic, and fun to scream-sing.
I love “Sometimes” by Britney, “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys, and “Wannabe” by Spice Girls. Also, “Candy” is peak mall-pop perfection 🍬✨

It's a guilty pleasure and nostalgic
Most of it came from the same 4 writing teams, which is why it all sounds similar.
Max Martin and his many associates.
Dr. Luke.
The Neptunes.
Stargate.
Honorable mentions to LaFace (LA Reid and Babyface) and of course Diane Warren for the ballads.
@Simslover92 Elvis Presley said he hated his bubblegum music.

The 1st time I ever heard the term "bubblegum" being used to describe music, was back in high school (1973). And I discovered that happened to be my favorite kind of music at the time. And those people were using that term in a derogative manner
Don't be so hard on yourself! They were fun songs. Not as bubblegum as the 70's bubblegum. Nonetheless Sugar, Sugar has appeal even though the Archies didn't exist outside of the studio.
True bubblegum was by backup singers.
You can watch more modern things too if that's your thing
Christina Aguilera is not bubble gum pop. She's a seriously talented singer with a great voice. She did a few pop songs for sure, but she's the real deal. Mandy, Spears, Spice Girls... that's pop junk.
One of my darkest secrets is I was dragged to a Backstreet Boys concert around 2000 ish... I deny it until the grave though.
I have a soft spot for Barbie Girl by Aqua.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/ZyhrYis509AReminds me of good times being a kid. The 90’s were a vibe lol.
Its timeless, like candyfloss, bad for you but perfect in the right context
Well Mandy Moore certainly isn't it, and hers was in the last 6 months of 1999 so you really can't count her as 1990s music.
My daughter was a big New Kids on the Block fan. She still likes them.
"I Want It That Way" can be easily turned into a hard rock song.
I prefer Bubblegum Dance music, like Aqua, Toy-Boy, Hit'N'Hide etc.
Ah brings back memories
I admit I like some of Mandy Moores’ songs 😊
Mandy Moore herself hates her earlier music.
Mine is slave by Brittany Spears lol
That makes no sense lol
Love NSYNC.
Not my taste 😂
Memories 🌟
Self-flagellation
Oh no...
