I know the duck billed platypus has a beak so why don't other animals? If they're good enough for birds why not other species too?

That one is obviously an abomination of nature. The duck on its bill clearly created it in a lab for the purpose of avenging its fellow ducks that have been massacred by careless drivers. Which is obviously why it’s rampaging in the middle of a city street.
Listen, i’m team “be kind to wildlife”, and nobody loves watching idiots get gored by bulls and mauled by lions more than me. But that’s instant karma. I do not want to be in NYC for my first ever visit only to be trampled by an avenging elephuck that can’t tell the difference between me and people who don’t slow down for the newborn ducklings marching to a nearby watering hole. That ain’t right.
Beak is modified part of skull called rostrum. Egg tooth common on many egg laying species, not only on non flying Sauria and flying Sauria, was probably a prototype for a beak. Animals lose egg tooth after hatching, even birds. It seems a beak is an light weigh solution for teeth, that's why flying Theropoda have exclusively beaks. Some goosed own teeth but those aren't true teeth with mineral calcium carbonate enamel structure, while their cousins like velociraptors and tyrannosaurs had real teeth.
Interesting is Platypus. It's an mammal (Synapsida, 2 hole skull) that separated form birds ancestor (Sauropsida, 4 hole skull) 300-320 millions years ago. It's likely genetic code for beaks is older and part of most land animals with exception Amphibia like frogs.
I guess some genetic Dr. Mengele could activate those genes on mammals and make elephants with beaks. But why?
This is such a funny question... 😂
So, from a scientific perspective, the type of mouth a creature has depends on its eating habits and natural habitat. That's how evolution has happened.
So, from Darwin's Finches Theory, we see that even though the island he visited had finches, their beaks are of different shapes. The beaks vary in their length and shape based on their eating habits.
So, as evolution took place and creatures slowly evolved from an aquatic environment to land, their skin, their breathing, and everything else evolved according to their habitat.
Thus, scientifically, the answer is no.
Are beaks remnants of long gone dinos? there are surely many variants of that facial "tool"
Funny thing about ducks is that they are actually incognito... and there's a reson for that.
That “elephuck” 😄 is definitely AI-edited.
Beaks evolved independently in certain groups (birds, turtles, squid, platypus) because they suited their specific diets and skull structures. Mammals mostly keep teeth since they’re super versatile for chewing, grinding, tearing. A beak usually means no teeth and a lighter skull, great for flying birds but not ideal for, say, a lion or an elephant’s lifestyle. Evolution just didn’t push most mammals in that direction 🐘🦆✨

If an elephant could fly, it would have a beak. Mother Nature wrote the rules... Only birds have beaks.
The duck billed platypus was a mistake in manufacturing. Not only the beak breaks the rules. Mother Nature was short on money and hired an intern, her best friend's cousin, to make the first platypus. Interns are notorious for doing things wrong.

That "elephuck" looks unhappy.
He/She probably wants his/her trunk & tusks back.
No, beaks can be painful when they come to smother you with affection
Damn! That almost fooled me! 😳😮
Maybe not every animal wants to peck up insects and seeds and small crustaceans. I think it should be every animals individual choice.
That’s a cute elephant yes he should have a Beak
Why do I feel that "Duckphant" will come to me and Tell, "Quack-Quack Motherfucker!" 🤣🤣
It would be cool to see what people would like like
Yeah, dude. That would be pretty fucking cool.
Simples...
Absolutely.
And everyone could be named Howard.
No I don’t think so
LoL, why should they? :P
This image will haunt me for eternity
That elephuck has a Mohawk
