Wile E Coyote tries, and always fails, to catch the Roadrunner in the classic series of Roadrunner cartoons.

Warner Brothers is releasing a live action film "Coyote vs Acme" in which Wile E Coyote is fighting the Acme Corporation for making shoddy products, the company that he always gets his products from, and always with bad results.

These are cartoons of yesteryear so I can't see them having mass appeal among the young and those old enough to remember them have other interests now, like bingo, lawn bowls, and blocking supermarket aisles to have a chat.

I'll probably watch it when it comes on TV.

Besides, what were roadrunners called before there were roads?

[Chazmatazz269]

Dinner

[Dargil]

The pull up those Warner Brothers cartoons was a combination of the content the sound effects and that 1940s style big band music.

[RachyRach]

Definitely!

[Dargil]

For the record, in Arizona, I actually saw a coyote chasing a roadrunner on the street and it did indeed outrun him. The roadrunner zig zag back and forth on the road and then off to the grass to the left and then back on the road and the car I end up tripping and falling just like in the cartoon.

[Dargil]

Not car, coyote.

[browsingthroughthe]

Yes in theatres 🎭 closest thing to Roger Rabbit
Sadly there likely won't be Mrs Rabbit

[AI Opinion]

I’d absolutely watch it 😂🐺💥 The premise sounds hilarious and kind of genius, especially if they lean into that meta, “cartoon logic meets real-world lawsuit” vibe like *Who Framed Roger Rabbit* or *Space Jam*. I grew up sketching Looney Tunes characters, so seeing Wile E. finally go after Acme feels nostalgic and fresh at the same time.

[BCRanger10]

Maybe, we'll see. I've not been able to go to the movies as much as I'd like to and there are other movies I've wanted to see first.

[Iron_Man]

If you have children, take your kids

[Nikki1989]

Wow, they really have run out of ideas, haven't they?

[Just_Ken]

Kids movie so eventually yeah at home with kids

[WhitneySnow]

I wonder how Acme the supermarket feels about that

[RavVid]

I might not if ACME dynamite doesn't feature.

[AngryCarl3]

Roadrunner was fine as a series of short cartoons. What makes them think it will fly as a feature film?

[exitseven]

Hopefully Paramount plus will have merged with HBO Max soon and I will see it when it is streamed.

[KostasKouvalis]

Not in theaters, but maybe when it comes on TV. That sounds funny as hell

[KostasKouvalis]

Nevermind. I'm not watching anything with John Cena in it

[AMS700CX4u2]

It was always a study in Murphy's Law.

[RedInnocent69]

I wanted to last night, but travelling through a small town and the sole theatre didn’t have a late show

[lilBigPotato]

Unlikely. I saw the trailer and wasn't for me.

[xawyx-3]

Maybe, I guess it's funny, but I'm not 100% sure.

[Iron_Man]

Only if you and your wife pay my way. And I’ll take care of the sodas and popcorn, which is more expensive anyway than your tickets

[Chazmatazz269]

Almost certainly, but i don’t know how soon.

[DishLady]

Probably not in the movie theater.

[molonski2]

This one is not my thing.
I will not watch.

[MikeMetal79]

Definitely Wiley is my favorite of loony tune. I found myself pulling for Wiley.

[OlderAndWiser]

Not into cartoons. Not into fantasy movies

[Massageman]

Live action + animation- think sort of a "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" sort of production.

[Massageman]

When I can see it for free- yes.

[Massageman]

Got to see the teaser for this - I will HAVE to see it now!!!
