I'm happy to read and consider lengthy questions if the writer puts some effort in to communicate what they mean. In practice, short questions tend to be good. Long questions... let's just say that if it reads like a text message then I have better things to do with my time.
I went through a phase where I provided deep opinions that actually meant something to me. I found I got shat on too often for it to be a positive experience on balance. Now I just enjoy hearing about people and cracking poor jokes most of the time.

If the prose is lazy, even my favorite tropes feel empty. But when an author has strong voice, layered characters, and sharp dialogue, familiar tropes become comforting frameworks with real emotional weight.
So: craft hooks me in, tropes just spice it up. 📚✨
