The most common source of damage to kids is being threated as an appliance + pet.
The egoistic utilitarian view of kids most mothers (and fathers but less) have is highly damaging.
Your kids aren't literally an extension of yourself.

With father the most common damaging thing is seeing kids as "legacy" too literally.

My mom always told me and my brother that because she had us she sacrificed her youth and everything for us and didn’t get to live a life. One time on our vacation, she told me and my brother out of nowhere that we ruined her life

i like to think or believe, if a guy, human male, grows up being overly coddled by his mom growing up, with an overprotective mom, it sadly will have a negative impact on his ability to attract girls, get a girlfriend

I believe the same. I also believe that such coddled men struggle with knowing how to take care of themselves and have anger towards the world when things don't go their way or as expected.

This bullshit society always makes excuses for women. No matter what a woman does there’s always an excuse. They either blame on mental illnesses or her past trauma. Big freakin deal!!! How come men don’t get excused for bad behaviour when they’ve had a rough childhoods or mental illnesses?

You said it exactly how it is

The perception that women can do no wrong has brought vast amounts of harm to our society. It's time that we start holding women accountable for bad behavior.

Single mothers are a cancer. Single mothers create whores out of daughters and either effeminate pussies or criminals out of boys.

There is SOME truth to that. When the single mothers themselves are worthless, then yes.

I didn’t even read the whole post. But sound a bit blaming this parent or that parent or blaming a song for all that matter it is just a song! everyone’s responsibility and if one is grown up man or women you can’t always blame the parents as you are responsible for your/they own actions!

It sounded a lot like hate speech sorry but it is what it felt like someone hurt you in some way and that is how some people lash out. I did the same got hurt by one guy and then every man was to blame. Then I change my mind because I saw that is not true and that a lot of people and man are good people. Hug! Hope you understand my point of view

You're just passing it off as me being hurt because I wrote about mothers. Mothers=women. And that’s what bothered you. So you’re trying to pass it off as if there is something wrong with the author of this post as an explanation or as a belief you can have to feel better about it.

No you are wrong. After the point you blame a song from John Mayer that? Seriously? I mean poor guy he writes a song and now his song is the explanation to how the society is?

“ Jon Mayer is a great musician, and I love his music, mostly his older stuff and particularly his album Continuum. But I honestly have to say I somewhat blame his song “Daughters” for the way society took off wanting to add more blame to fatherhood after the song came out in 2003.”

Sorry but we are all responsible for our own actions of course our upbringing has some bit on how we do things and not all of us are the same. But simple blaming women for how the world is is just wrong. So let’s blame Puttins mom for his actions of starting a new war? We are responsible as a group up how you behave! Not your parents!

Sad but true, many women have very significant issues. Its unfortunate as a culture we are not able to pressure people to follow basic rules that help control such issues.

There's some pretty bad moms and dads out there, I'm thankful to have both my mom and dad in life cause they are always there since day one. My mom and I bumped heads a few times but other than that, we have pretty good relationship.

I think both parents can do damage to their kids toy. I think the father the father text to be more stern and usually the disciplinarian.

Yeah some mothers are single mothers but still raise good children. Obviously it's harder without a partner but it can be done... so many of these kids turn bad though so we have to examine the parent raising them... it's both of their faults

Mothers need to show girls that a woman's place is in the kitchen cooking a delicious Thanksgiving turkey. Because Jesus was born on Thanksgiving in Missouri.
