Girls, How should a guy ask you to hang out platonically?

How can a guy ask you to hang platonically without it getting awkward. Like it can be for someone you "like like" or someone who you have no romantic interest in but you just want to be friends with. But sometimes asking a girl to hang out on on one can get awkward and i don't want to say "its not a date btw" because i feel like mentioning that makes it feel weird no matter if you do or don't have a deeper interest in that person. Is the phrase "hang out" enough to distinguish it from a date or something more etc?

It seems like you have more. feelings towards this girl than just friends 😕, seeing as your the one who feels awkward towards "hanging out". If you two are truly mates you should be able to just message her saying something like " Are you busy" or "what you upto" after she replies "fancy going for a drink for a bit?"

Hanging out isn't really enough of a term. A girl who likes a guy will likely still read into it. But you can maybe say something like "let's hang out as friends". That would work I think :)

Well those kind of things are kinda natural. I think you both know the difference between love interest vs actual friends
