Why is my cousin bullying me?

He’s 10 years older than me, and since I was a kid he always hated me. For example when I was 5 he would grape me by my feet, on the balcony and tell me that he’s going to throw me. He doesn’t just tease but he always tell me that I’m a mess, that if he kills me my mother won’t care anymore. He’s the only one who’s acting that way with me, and what’s so awful is that my mother love him like her son, because his parents divorced and when I tell her what he have done to me, she tell me that he’s just joking, but even now, he hates me for no reason, and tell me that my birth was a mistake. Why is he so evil with me?
