i am 17 and live at home with my parents. could they legally stop me from taking a plane to see my boyfriend in another state?

Technically yes but once you are 18 no. But I am a little old fashion and think that as long as you live with your folks you have to live by their rules. It is respect. Once you move out on your own you can do what you want to.

Yes, they can stop you because in the eyes of the law you are still a minor. You can be deemed a run away and returned to the custody of your parents or even juvie. Sorry.

actually, they can't. since your 17 they can't claim you ran away and the police would not be able to arrest you and they couldn't press kidnapping charges to punish the other person. go get 'em girl
