If you could only have ONE of these two in life WHICH WOULD IT BE: kids or pets?

Babies for me pets are great, but they're basically a sunk cost.
Babies on the other hand grow up and can help out around the house. And who knows if your baby turns into some kinda genius and make millions.
Well as the parent, if you played your cards right no doubt you will see some of that moolah.
Lmao 👍🤣👍
i choose kids... i decided in my last relationship that i don't need a dog... she had a dog/cat allergy... living with a wonderful woman and maybe a kid or two... much better option
Holy smokes are you heaven sent 🤤
weird thing was... she insisted that she wanted a dog... argument insued XD
I think she knew how bad u wanted it and wanted to see u happy
no... i said i don't want it that bad... i'd rather have her not miserable in her own house later
Thats sweet. My ex didn't give a dang. He still wanted the dog
well, you gotta be considerate of... the other persons wants and... physical ALLERGYS, they say they can use some over the counter stuff to combat this... but id rather not have her on these pills more than ya need to... they may have horrible and lasting side effects over time
Thats very considerate of you :)
Desi... i'm touched... you chose my opinion as an MHO? thankyou
It was good :)

No question: pets. Specifically dogs. I can tolerate pets WAY more than kids! Less stress, less drama, they're loyal and will always love you.
Want to go on a vacation? They can be boarded, or a neighbor can watch them. Kids? Not as easy.
Not to mention kids are a financial burden! Do the math: it is much easier and cheaper to raise a pet from birth to adulthood, than a child.
Prob true but i want something that came from my roots and something that can talk back when i talk to it (or at least speak my language). And i dont like to be licked or rubbed against unless im having sex 🤷♀️
With my line of work if I wished to constantly remain busy and more career focused, I'd say pets. Weighing out the two, in the long haul I know I'd crave being able to emotionally connect and share affection with a mini me and know I can potentially aid in moulding an amazing human being. So probably, kids.
AWW beautiful to read
Easy choice, I choose pets. I'm a huge animal lover, but not really big on kids. I don't actively hate or dislike them or anything, but they wear me out and can be annoying (sorry, but it's true, and even more so with rowdy and poorly behaved kids). They're fine for about an hour, but then I'm ready to go home and have some peace and quiet.
Lol i understand
Post pandemic, if we live, I would want both. But since I can only have one I gotta choose pets. Reason is simple: As human nature drives the need for both of these, if I only have kids, it's not ok to treat them like pets and it would happen. Example: Hey son, go fetch me that. Hey daughter, entertain me. Hey kids, sit, stand, come here, go there, do this, do that, now roll over and show all my friends how well I've trained you. But you can have pets and treat like your kids and they love that.
Lmao everyones been treated like a pet in the real world. Especially at work
Puppers and doggos make you happy and elevate your soul.
Kids on the other hand...😑 Not so much. Hahaha.
Always wanted a dog. It would be great if could get a hand on one before i get a child.
Yea opposite for me
Ultimate dealbreaker
My kids are my absolute best friends!!! You won't find me poor, alone, or in any nursing home. As much as I love pets, making this a hard choice, I would not trade my buddies for anything! Also, kids live so much longer and can do anything with you. I can't stand watching my furbabies die when they get old, and I can't take them on all of my adventures or share all of my food.
Aww this was a good point tho
I'd rather have a cat. Dogs are almost as high maintenance as kids.
I can't stand how touchy cats are. They rub all up on ya
Reminds me of a woman from my earlier years.
@OlderAndWiser. What? She kept rubbing all over ya? 🤣
As much as I love both, I agree that dogs are very high maintenance, which is why I didn't get another after my last passed. With a time consuming job like mine, it wouldn't be fair to the dog. Cats, on the other hand, are very independent!
I have a dog, a cat, 3 fish, and 2 snails. We're getting a second dog when we move out of this apartment. Also I want a horse again.
I don't want kids. I want allllllll the pets 😂
Loll
easy choice for me i can't have kids so baby dogs
Okayy
I don't like most animals anyway and I do want kids so give them to me now 😂
🤽♀️🤽♂️🤾♂️🤾♀️🤹♂️🤹♀️👫👲
I'm 65. What would I do with kids? Cats are MUCH easier!
Half of my HS classmates had oldparents 50+ 🤷♀️
The parents were probably in their 40's but they looked old to you! :) :) :)
No my mom is in her 40s. there's are legit 60s and up. A lot of my classmates are from the countryside and people here have kids when they turn 40-70
Pets, no doubt. I get along with animals really easily. This is Didda, by the way 💕
I thought i was looking at a lemur 😂 had to turn it to see beethoven
Ever seen zaboomafoo lol? And Looks like the beethoven cujo type dog
Oh lmao 😂 shows you how much of a dog fan i am 😬
I've been baby crazy since age 3. It would be a blessing on earth to birth happy healthy children and raise them for as long as i happily live
They won't be. They won't even be allowed to say ass til theyre in college
After having both, I'd definitely just stick to pets 😂 💯
Damn what did uour kid do lol
Babies are great but they turn into children, which are not so great. The first 5 years is as good as it gets with kids. They're overrated
I won't lie, when i say i want a baby, age 3-7 are the only ages truly going through my head because its the influential and adorable stages 😂 other than that ima hate changing diapers or dealing with bratty teenager attitudes. But i still want em
Good luck lol 🙂
Before I had my own child, I would have said pets. But being a mom is one of the most incredible things ever.
Glad you love it
I'm not a fan of pets, so easy choice I chose kids. I love babies and I treat my baby's niece and nephew as my own. I was always told not to get baby fever 🤣🤣.
Lmao i said the same above
I don't know if baby fever is avoidable... i think its amazing and adorable
@LEADFOOTboi extremely
my previous relationship told me she wanted a baby... i was moved by this... she didn't like kids
@LEADFOOTboi maybe you changed her for the best
i doubt it...
Well I love my animals and I've never been without one my entire life, I want a family and a legacy and that is far more important to me, especially in the long run.
As least you respected both lol
most Couple who are unable to have kids chose to taken on a pet.
Or they chose to adopt
If i couldnt have kids (and couldnt adopt) i still would not want a pet. Not everyone is an animal lover
I’m a rule breaker, I’d still end up with both. After all, it takes to to make munchkins and that leaves the other with the choice to pick the remaining option. Win win :p
Loll
Two* blasted typos!
Not a pet person. On the other side, I love taking care of kids, talking with kids and having their company. So C.
Lol thats so me
I've lived with several Zen Masters and they were both cats.
So now I would like to try children.
Hahaha fair enough
I learned a lot from pets because I took the time, energy and effort to have a relationship with them. I can only imagine how much more rewarding it would be with a child.
