Mom goes through my trash?

so today my mom found a pod in my trash- i know vaping is bad i’m trynna quit. after being forced back home for quarantine, out of campus, i feel like i’ve lost all privacy. i’m turning 20 soon and i feel like i shouldn’t have to deal with my parents getting furious with me after finding a singular pod in the trash. or am i completely wrong? thoughts?

well they are your parents, they care about your health, i qas vaping too when i turned 18 but since i was an adult my parents knew they couldnt do anything, they still tried telling me to stop and that i should quit doing its and i know it disappointed them everytime they saw me smoking that shit so eventually i quit, im like 3 to 4 weeks off nicotine and im feeling good 🤷🏽‍♂️

I kinda agree with both. It is their house and if you don't pay rent it's their rules as well. You're of age. So they shouldn't care.

Tell her about your need for privacy. All you can do is negotiate with them. Make them believe you want to stop this habit.
