Boyfriend has no fashion sense.. GUYS, how to approach this topic?

I've been dating my boyfriend for a few months. Things are going really well, but sometimes his poor taste in clothing bothers me. I find many things about his appearance attractive, just not his clothes. For example, he wears high socks with shorts, shirts & sweatshirts that are much too big, or shirts that look really old.

I haven't brought this up to him, because I don't want to offend him. I think he would look a lot better if he wore stuff that fit better. Is it mean to talk to him about this, like would it seem like I am trying to change him? Any suggestions on how to bring this up?

the best approach for me-and maybe for otther guys- just take him shopping for You and Him-very important- and use words like"hmmmm...i think this willmake you look coolER like Brad Pitt or someone else...i meant to capitalize the e and r, because it will mean that he is fine and you show him how to look even more better ;)

A lot of guys have horrible fashion sense. I lived with horrible fashion sense for years, until a female friend went shopping with me and helped me pick things that looked good together.

I would go shopping with him and help him pick out things that make him look good.

If this is him, why don't you just accept that? We want guys to accept us girls for who we are and for who we want to be. I'm sure this boy knows what he's doing and wants to be this way.

Maybe I'm wrong, but isn't it right to love his good and "bad" sides?

why do you care? I mean, if he's looking like a bum going to a job interview I can understand, but you shouldn't treat your boyfriend like a doll you can dress up

just tell him. flat out. people tell me I have no fashion sense and I don't mind. I kinda own it because when I do wear something that is decent people applaud me hahahaha

Just go shopping with him and when he tries something that Actully fits him tell him he looks really good in it and maybe he will buy it.

This is what my Dad's wife does, she hates his fashion sense so she constantly buys him nicer clothes. Guess it is different because she uses his credit card :S
