Why do people confide in me?

Everyone I meet, even people I've known for 10 minutes start telling me private things about their life, and ask me for advice. It happens all the time. I asked my friends if it happens to them too, and they said no. So why do people, even strangers, confide in me?

Do you have a habit of showing kindness to strangers? That usually happens when you do. It's such a rare trait that people latch on to it immediately.

It happens to me and my sister in law a lot (she’s an esthetician and gets some real crazies!). I think it just means people feel comfortable with you
