I love my brother more than anything in the world but why is strangers making a big deal about it?

My younger brother is younger than me by 3 years and ever since the day he's born. He's gotten me wrapped around his little fingers. I walked him to school every day in elementary school. Tell him bedtime stories to sleep, comfort him when he has a nightmare. We always had a special bond. Even when we grew up and he had his very first crush on this female classmate, I encouraged him to go for it and he eventually dated her. I gave him some of the best female advice and he was like my soulmate.

He made it his goal to attend the same college as me and it is so normal that we would still hold hands and walk around town and having our sister-brother date. I love his girlfriend like my own sister and she loves me like her older sister as well. There was never a jealousy problem. Whenever I get to know a new guy my brother will be on his protective mode warning the guy is he ever dare to break my heart he will meet with his fist. When my brother got married, I was the happiest person for him and even shed tears of joy for him. It seems so normal to me that my brother and I have such a relationship.

However, whenever we held hands walking on the street or going to movie night together, people like to accuse us of incest. It feels so sick to even think about it but its really disgusting what can go through some people's mind. Is it really abnormal to have a brother/sister whom you love so much?

I think society has become so sick and perverted that those who are not into those things have their guards up. Boys and men can't even do anything without thoughts of homosexuality coming into their heads. Before even two boys holding hands was innocent but one two boys and certainly not men, would ever do that, unless it is with their elderly parent. Girls used to do all kinds of hugging and kissing and this was never considered lesbian or sexual but now everyone is second guessing and girls and women are becoming harder. Everyone is also increasingly becoming more and more disconnected in a world of technology that makes it incredibly easy be connected. When I was a kid it was so common for girls and guys to hang out in large groups at the park virtually every day. Then girls started only hanging out with girls and guys with guys. Then many parks began to just be empty and regular socialization stopped unless you decided to become a party person and go to the club. Quite frankly society is becoming more and more messed to the point where it is impossible to see innocent things, like you described, as perverted. Light to us looks like darkness. Its the sad reality of our world and a sign that our civilization and this world is going backwards on morals, strength and greatness, and surely there will be more consequences for this in the future than anything we are seeing now.
